Our organization was born at the turn of the last century to enable members to continually
upgrade the quality of the electrical services we offer customers.
Our customers, and our City, benefited from that commitment almost immediately.
When the earthquake of 1906 hit, the members of the Electrical Contractors Association
pulled together to bring power back to the stricken city.
And today, radiant beyond the wildest dreams of those 1906 residents, the City of
San Francisco stands
as a testament to what can be accomplished through skill and dedication.
Electrical Contractors of the SFECA perform specialized construction work related to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems. Whether high-voltage power transmission or low-voltage lighting, our contractors ensure that these systems work in a safe, efficient and environmentally-sound manner.
